Imagine my surprise, pleasant at first, when I came across this interesting passage in a book I’ve had since 2005 and thot this was a good time to reread it!

I say pleasant at first, bc I fear the highlighted passage on the next page is even more alarming today than when I first read it. In ur estimation, had anything changed since this encounter u had? (And btw, is this an accurate rendering of what happened?)
