Good for Kay for having an after the fact epiphany; however, before the war in March 2003, there were some who both had serious doubts and made them public. They included a few Democrats in the House and Senate (not including either Joe Biden or Hilary
Clinton), some work by Seymour Hersh and hints dropped from time to time in some media. I attempted to document all this is a January 2003 essay: "The Week of Shame :
Congress Wilts as the President Demands an Unclogged Road to War.” Kay deserves credit for his January 2004 testimony and standing up to the Bush Administration at that time, but others deserve even more credit.
