Covid Escaped From Lab As Part of U.S. Military Intel Operation, Says Former Senior Scientist For U.S. Government Contractor, EcoHealthPh.D. scientist, veteran, and scientist Andrew Huff publishes his accusations in a major new Simon & Schuster book that comes out on Tuesday, December 6.
Rumors have flown for years that the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus was man-made and emerged from the Wuhan Institute for Virology’s (WIV) laboratory in Wuhan, China. Now, a top scientist who had top secret security clearance with the U.S. government claims that not only was the virus man-made, that it was the result of a U.S. military intelligence effort to spy on China’s bioweapons program. “Why on earth would the Chinese ever allow us into that laboratory?” asked Dr. Andrew Huff, author of the forthcoming book, The Truth About Wuhan. “If they're doing bioweapons development, they have their own program going. They do not need our money. What they do need is our advanced biotechnology. And they need our training. And when I look at this, at the end of the day, this looks like an exchange of biotechnology for access to their laboratory.” The official position of the US and Chinese governments is that the virus emerged from the wild. And, indeed, much of what Huff is claiming sounds like a conspiracy theory. “It either came out of a U.S. laboratory, or it came out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” he said. But the notion that coronavirus was made in a lab has gained significant mainstream support over the last year and even the head of the World Health Organization reportedly told European officials in June that he believes Covid leaked from a "catastrophic accident" in a laboratory. Huff has a credible story that checks out and Simon and Schuster, a mainstream publisher, is publishing his book. Huff served from 2003-2006 in combat operations in Iraq. He went on to earn a BA in psychology, an MS in geographic information systems and systems technologies, and a Ph.D in environmental health science with a focus on emerging infectious diseases at the University of Minnesota. Huff did his post-graduate work at MIT in complex systems modeling and analysis, at the Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence, and at Sandia National Laboratories, before becoming a senior executive at EcoHealth Alliance Huff says he became alarmed when he read an EcoHealth Alliance proposal. “This is the ‘Understanding Bat Coronavirus Risk’ proposal. I'm asked to review this thing. I comment to [EcoHealth founder] Peter Daszak, ‘We don't have a biological security, or safety officer. We don't have an institutional biosafety committee….What about these things?’ [Said Daszak], ‘Eh, don't worry about that. We've got that taken care of.’” But Huff’s story gets even more bizarre. He says that after he started speaking out publicly in 2020, his home was burglarized, and he was harassed, both in person, and with drones. Huff said he was recruited to work for the U.S. government to work on biothreats before he went to work for EcoHealth. “I was recruited by the Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Excellence. And because of my military background, my master's degree, and being national security-focused, they wanted me to work on developing advanced data analytics and platforms for measuring terrorism, or bio-terrorism risk, within the food supply.” Huff said that, in 2015, Daszak talked with him about accepting CIA support for their research. “He goes, Andrew, do you mind if I ask you a question? I've been approached by somebody from the CIA,’” said Huff. “Right away, I'm like, ‘Oh my God, what's he telling me?’ because of my previous experience in national security. ‘Do you think it's a good idea if I if I work with them?’ I'm like, ‘Oh my God, what am I gonna say to this?’” Huff says he became aware of the coronavirus in mid-December 2019. “I have a friend in the region who's an epidemiologist and he starts telling me there's weird things going on,” he said. “So I decided to go pull satellite pollutant data for PM 2.5 and look at to see what the air quality looks like. “I overlaid that with known crematoriums in the region. And it looks like these things are operating in an overdrive 24-7. And I'm like, ‘Holy crap. This is the next big one. How's this not in the media?" “None of the stories are lining up,” said Huff. “I start to investigate my own records at EcoHealth because I knew that EcoHealth had been doing the work in Wuhan and that the disease had emerging in a wet market was B.S. “I looked at the pictures of the seafood market. It looks like a clean place that I would eat in. But it doesn't look right. I can't find any pictures of bats or the other types of animals that are the ecological niche that's humans created for this to this disease emerge. It’s just not adding up. And so from day one I'm like, ‘This is a lab leak. This is a lab leak.’ “I tell all my friends but I'm not going super public. So I start digging through my records in later about June of, 20, I guess it was 2020. And I discover the In-Q-Tel [venture capital firm tied to the CIA] proposal that Peter Daszak had me add slides to in October of 2015.” Huff says the Wuhan lab was built by the French and, “after the French were kicked out, American programs stepped in.” Huff says that after the went public, he was harassed by the US government. “There's another aspect to the story that nobody else knows,” he said. “I caught the FBI and the Michigan State Police breaking into my house, repeatedly. I caught them. So the Michigan State Police, my state's governor, a Democrat who's very closely tied to the Biden administration, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, breaking into my house, repeatedly doing all sorts of their harassment. “The source was the FBI and the Michigan State Police. Some of these people who work at these two agencies are idiots because one of the things that they stole from my house was hard drives that contained data that was used to create classified materials for the US government.”
