Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is attending the China-Arab
States Summit and China-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit in Saudi
Arabia, has met with several Arab leaders separately. Xi signed a
bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Saudi King
Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Zh/En) and issued a joint statement with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman (Zh/En). Talking with the Saudi leaders, President Xi called Kingdom a key force in the multipolar world.
The Chinese president also met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi (Zh/En) and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (Zh/En), as well as Chairman of Sudan's Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan (Zh/En) and Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (Zh/En) individually. Deepening bilateral economic cooperation and supporting regional peace are the themes of Xi’s messages.
