In the proliferation of the ideological “infrastructure” of Trumpism, the American Moment is another Trumpite promoter/propagandist identifiable with the moniker of “American ____,” and practicing the art
of deception (in my opinion) with duplicitous messages promoting war with China, Iran, et al. And lying that the Republicans/Conservatives are “Restrainers,” working to keep the US out of wars, and repeating the Big Lie that it was Wilson who took us into
WWI over the objections of Republicans. While promoting the candidacies of Trumpites on joint programs of TAC, Quincy Institute, and themselves, as recently held.
That "Big Lie” is centered on Teddy Roosevelt, and Teddy’s "Big Stick,” which was/is the equivalent symbol of Mussolini’s “fasces.” So notice how often T.R. is now celebrated by not only Neocons like Eliot
Cohen, but by Trumpites, like the American Moment (which says a lot in itself) here. That T.R. was in fact an authentic American fascist when compared side by side with Mussolini’s ideology, can be seen pretty well in James Bradley’s books, and in "The War
Lovers," and "T.R.’s Last War.” Which explains why American Moment would be so enthusiastic for T.R. it appears, given how enthusiastic they are for “America’s War on China” promoters of today, Trump, Bannon, Gaetz, Hawley, DeSantis, et al. But here is T.R.
in a contemporaneous account of his pushing Wilson into WW I. Which with Wilson coming out of the militaristic/imperialistic South (as was the North, but in different ways, with the South having called for going to war against Spain to capture their Caribbean
territories even before the Civil War, to expand their beloved slavery), didn’t need much pushing. Nor was the Espionage Act out of line with Southern methods of suppressing anti-slavery efforts in their states before the Civil War. But no one outdid T.R.
in loving war, so "Party Hard And Carry A Big Stick!” you Trump lovers, even while you’re lying of being “Restrainers.”
