[Salon] 11. America First - Rescue America

I especially like Point 11: America First, but have to ask, what no one ever defines, what are “the national interests of the USA? Obviously perpetual military expansion of US hegemony, given what we’ve seen over the last 30 years. Why (TF) is that in our “national interest,” when it is reducing all of us but our Oligarchs to paupers? 

• Adhere to the New Monroe Doctrine – America will not allow any global enemy, such as China, Russia, or Radical Islam, to grow their presence in our hemisphere.
• No foreign aid to any country that habitually opposes us at the UN.
• We will not pay any dues to the United Nations or any international organization that undermines the national interests of the USA
• We will make our international allies pay their fair share for their own defense. We will not send our kids to do what their kids will not do. (In the past, that was called “paying tribute” to the Hegemon, the Global Hegemon in our case. 
• Our military will not be used as a peace-keeping force, it exists to protect us by intimidating or killing our enemies.
• Nation-building does not work, we will not waste our treasure or troops doing it.
• We will always defend our allies, starting with Israel.

Except for that last point about Israel, and the “New" Monroe Doctrine pertaining to our hemispheric domination, this could have been declared the policy of Nazi Germany, with virtually no change.  

“New" Monroe Doctrine? - we have the original, then Teddy Roosevelt’s “Corollary” (our first “modern” fascist oriented American thinker, as one can read Roosevelt’s paean to the “Active Life,”  in Andrew Bacevich’s own paean to "American Conservatism,” and people like Irving Kristol, and a number of his fellow neoconservatives/Straussians), so what is the “New” Monroe Doctrine? The Cheney/Wolfowitz Doctrine of US Global Military Domination? I guess.
