Israel's demolitions of Palestinian schools are
sufficiently routine as normally to be barely
newsworthy.
What may make newsworthy the demolition reported in the
article at the link transmitted below is that this
school's construction had been funded by the European
Union and its demolition occurred one day after a
diplomatic visit to show support for the school and the
local community by the representatives of several
European Union states.
One may be tempted to conclude that the relevant Israeli
decision-makers took an active delight in so vividly
demonstrating their contempt for the European Union
states, fully confident that, as in all prior instances,
doing so would have no adverse consequences for Israel.
The link contains a video of the bulldozer in action.
