76% of respondents agreed that the
Palestinian cause concerns all Arabs.
84% of respondents disapprove or would
dissaprove of their country's recognition of Israel, with
only 8% accepting the prospect of formal recognition.
(Among respondents in countries whose rulers have
recognized Israel, approval was at 20% in Morocco, 13% in
Egypt and only 4% in Jordan.)
When asked which country poses the
greatest threat to the Arab countries, 38% of respondents
named Israel, 21% named the United States and 7% named
Iran.
When presented with a list of countries
and asked whether each posed a threat to the security and
stability of the region, 84% said that Israel does and 78%
said that the United States does.
