This is a great find and reveals @ThierryBreton's absolutely mind-numbling hypocrisy (he is the EU Commissioner for Internal Market).
Breton now somehow implies that China stopped cotton exports to the EU in order to limit the EU's ability to produce gunpowder.
But, what do you know, it's HE himself who last year spearheaded an initiative to ban products from Xinjiang in the EU, where 90% of China's cotton is produced! He did so on the back of the "forced labor" narrative, which has been debunked so many times, especially wrt the cotton industry which is extremely automatized in Xinjiang.
Yes, you're not dreaming: the guy blames China with a straight face for not exporting a product to the EU when he himself led an initiative to ban it 🤦♂️🤡
Xinjiang forced labor. You couldn't dream this level of automation in Europe, you peasant.
Now enjoy producing your own cotton for your own shells for your own fake and genocidal wars.
