Bagheri: Iran gets to determine inevitable retaliation method
Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, said on Saturday that "the enemy will regret its actions, and we are the ones to determine the method of retaliation."
Bagheri stressed that "Israel" knows that it will not remain for long, and is close to disintegrating. He further highlighted that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was a game-changing operation which "Israel" cannot mend itself from, especially after the Resistance inflicted such heavy losses on it, returning with so many captives.
Bagheri further explained that the occupation is drowning in the quagmire of the war on Gaza, from which he cannot retreat nor continue.
Bagheri made these remarks during the funeral procession held in Isfahan for Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the Commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, along with six other advisors from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. They were all martyred in the Israeli aggression targeting the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
US anticipating 'inevitable' Iranian attack on US, Israeli assets: CNN
The United States is currently on high alert and actively preparing for a potentially "significant" attack that Iran could carry out within the next week, targeting either Israeli or American assets in the region, in response to the Israeli aggression that targeted the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday, CNN reported on Friday, citing a senior Biden administration official.
The official mentioned that senior American and Israeli officials believe that an Iranian attack is "inevitable". According to CNN, both governments are intensely coordinating their efforts to position themselves ahead of the anticipated strike. They anticipate that Iran's response could manifest in various forms, putting both US and Israeli assets and personnel at risk.
The senior Biden administration official pointed out that, as of Friday, neither government had precise information on when or how Iran intended to retaliate.
