With Mr Biden’s departure from politics appearing imminent, it’s fair to say that he will be remembered for three things, mainly:

Squandering the opportunity to rid his country of Donald Trump and all that he represents.
Dismissing the humanity of the Afghan and Palestinian people, and his country’s traditional respect for justice, morality, and basic decency.
The 1994 Crime Bill.

Do not pity him.
