Israeli invading forces intensified their siege of Jabalia in northern Gaza on Tuesday, resulting in the killing of at least seven individuals and forcing a new wave of displacement. For approximately 11 days, Jabalia has been the target of a brutal Israeli offensive, with invading troops now surrounding the camp and deploying tanks to the nearby towns of Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun.
Jabalia is one of the eight historic refugee camps located in the Gaza Strip.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that seven Palestinians, including children, were killed and subsequently brought to Kamal Adwan Medical Hospital. This massacre occurred after they were besieged and shelled by the invading army in the Falouja area, located west of the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.
The Civil Defense announced that many victims remained trapped under the rubble and that rescuers were unable to reach them. They also reported that "the teams are trapped with civilians in northern Gaza," stressing that "the occupation army continues to target them with drones, obstructing their access to the injured."
In the southwest of Gaza City, the Civil Defense retrieved the remains of two martyrs, one of whom was torn to pieces, and search efforts continue for 12 individuals still missing under the rubble in the industrial area of Tel al-Hawa.
"Israel" also targeted a residential block near a mosque in Tel al-Hawa, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries, as well as additional individuals reported missing under the rubble.
Our correspondent reported that three people were killed and six others injured in the bombing of a house near Salah al-Din Mosque in al-Zeitoun neighborhood of southeastern Gaza City.
In central Gaza, the Israeli occupation launched an airstrike on Nuseirat Camp, used artillery shelling, and opened fire from its vehicles in the northwestern part of the camp.
In the southern Gaza Strip, heavy artillery bombardment targeted the center and east of Rafah city.
Additionally, Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the al-Fukhari neighborhood east of Khan Younis, resulting in the killing of five Palestinians and injuries to others. A separate airstrike bombed a house in Bani Suheila, also east of Khan Younis, leading to the killing of nine individuals and injuries to several more.
In a related context, the United Nations' human rights office said, in a statement, the Israeli military appeared to be "cutting off North Gaza completely from the rest of the Gaza Strip".
"The separation of North Gaza raises further concerns that Israel does not intend to allow civilians to return to their homes, and the repeated calls for all Palestinians to leave northern Gaza raise grave concerns of large-scale forced transfer of the civilian population," it added.
The Washington Post report on Monday detailed the worsening humanitarian crisis in northern Gaza, as the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) intensify their aggression on the Strip.
The report sheds light on the emerging strategy reportedly being employed by "Israel", described as a "surrender or starve" approach, which has drawn international condemnation.
The IOF have encircled the Jabalia refugee camp and issued "evacuation orders" to approximately 400,000 residents in northern Gaza, directing them south to already overcrowded and bombarded areas.
The report notes that humanitarian workers on the ground describe the situation as catastrophic, with airstrikes continuing to batter civilian areas, including refugee camps.
"It is like hell, to be honest," Fares Afana, head of ambulance services in northern Gaza, told The Washington Post.

The report also touches on the controversial plan initially proposed by retired Maj. Gen. Giora Eiland, which suggests evacuating northern Gaza and treating anyone who remains as a legitimate military target.
While the Israeli occupation government has not officially confirmed adopting the strategy, reports indicate that parts of it are being implemented.

With the prospect of a ceasefire diminishing, he argues that the humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, and calls for urgent international intervention to protect civilians remain largely unanswered.
According to the latest estimates from the Gaza Health Ministry on Monday, the death toll has now risen to 42,289 since October 7, 2023, in addition to 98,684 injuries.
The death toll is believed to be significantly higher, as thousands of bodies remain buried under the rubble from widespread destruction across the enclave.
