[Salon] How Washington enables Israel's assault on Gaza - YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGqNfaVWiis

This video link was shared here couple days ago by someone affiliated with the Koch funded Quincy Institute, telling us "One year after Gaza, US complicity: if you are going to watch one thing today on you tube, make it this one. and please share."

My thought then was: "What chutzpah," after all that Quincy's Republican Statecraft has done to promote the very far-right politicians for years now as the "New Right/National Conservatives" who are not only an extension of the Israeli fascist settler movement, but of the Israeli ruling Fascist Coalition. It is a classic piece of pro-Trump campaign propaganda with its (legitimate) accusations of Biden for his complicity in Israel's ongoing genocide, while omitting that Trump/Vance's criticism of Biden is that he hasn't done even more to support Israeli genocide!

It's not quite on par, yet, with this guy however, in using a different meme:

How did Joseph Goebbels's use of propaganda and terror aid Adolf Hitler's campaign for chancellor? | Britannica

The "terror" will come later, according to Quincy's and TAC's friend, Kevin Robert of Heritage, but only "if there is resistance."
BLUF: "Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation and architect of Project 2025, raised the specter of violence against those who refuse to capitulate to what he described as “the second American Revolution” led by presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. In an appearance on “Real America’s Voice,” Roberts warned that the coming “revolution” will “remain bloodless if the left allows it to be,” signaling a potential threat to those opposing the far-right’s efforts to seize power.

"The recent U.S. Supreme Court decision granting expanded powers to the presidency has been hailed by Roberts as “vital” to the success of Project 2025. Analysts and critics have described the decision as bestowing king-like powers on the president, which Trump is already planning to exploit."

Read Hamilton's Federalist No. 70, according to Roberts. That was also a favorite of Willmoore Kendall and George Carey: https://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/fed70.asp

This threat to our Constitutional order represented by no-prefix Conservatives and National Conservatives, as articulated in their ideology, as first laid out by Willmoore Kendall, and propagated so vigorously here by Traditional Conservative Trumpites/DeSantisites, seems to be of no concern here?

It would seem that the subliminal message of Quincy's denunciation of Biden, while staying silent of how the politicians their Republican Statecraft supports would escalate and accelerate support to Netanyahu's genocidal coalition, is to see Israel's genocide escalated and accelerated by getting Trump/Vance elected? As articulated at the Quincy video links further down, which I've shared repeatedly. Every once in a while, Quincy runs an article denouncing other think tanks for their support of and promotion of our wars, and of who funds them. Curiously, their own funder, Charles Koch, is never mentioned. Even though he is immersed in the operational arm of Israeli hasbara, as we saw with his anti-BDS efforts in the U.S. So, "what's good for the goose" should be "good for the gander," so only appropriate that someone here take a "realistic"/objective  view of how Koch funded Quincy and their sister publication The American Conservative are calling for something even more militaristic and authoritarian to rule the U.S.: the New Right/National Conservative Movement. Just like Mein Kampf did, the "Common Plan" is laid out for us by their other favored think-tank, Heritage's Project 2025.

That makes this a classic piece of campaign propaganda, it seems to me, something like Goebbels would have produced denouncing non-Nazi German politicians for opposing "Hitler's Peace Through Strength" program, for the kind of Peace that Hitler promised. It was Mike Johnson and the Republican Party who invited Netanyahu to again promote his war, as they always do, knowing if Democrats don't go along, they can be denounced as anti-Semitic:

I shared a quote of Jim Bovard earlier where he asks:
"Is it too much to ask Trump’s opponents to stop peddling a fairy tale version of American history? If people believe that Trump is the only peril on the horizon, it will become far easier for Harris or other politicians to further ravish our rights and liberties. Americans must become far more vigilant about putting presidents and the federal government back on a leash."

It can be asked as well, or more so, to include of the author of that piece promoting Trump:
"Is it too much to ask Trump’s proponents to stop peddling a fairy tale version of American history? If people believe that Harris is the only peril on the horizon, it will become far easier for Trump or other politicians to further ravish our rights and liberties. Americans must become far more vigilant about putting presidents and the federal government back on a leash."

Let’s set this straight, shall we? Israel DID NOT invade Gaza unprovoked like this video makes it seem. On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a massive, unprovoked attack on Israel where they destroyed many towns full of innocent civilians and killed over 1,000 civilians at the Nova Music Festival and took 251 hostage whom they have kept in tunnels under Gaza for over a year. Of those, 109 have been released (in exchange for thousands of prisoners who committed terrible crimes), and 97 remain in tunnels under Gaza, including the bodies of 33 confirmed to be dead and many more suspected to be dead as well. The rest are being starved, tortured, and used as human shields. Hamas doesn’t play fair; they have most of their important business take place under hospitals so Israel can’t kill them without destroying a hospital. Israel doesn’t want civilians to die, but Hamas does. Anyone who doesn’t stand with Israel is supporting terrorism and genocide and is the equivalent of a modern day Nazi.  The legal analysis below might be of some interest to those few who want to put into context Trump/Vance's, and others on the Right, call to Israel to "Finish Them Off."  While supporting those who denounce Biden for any minuscule lack of support for Israeli genocide, and publish that in support of and/or in furtherance of Trump's election. That's not to draw any conclusion of "Complicity in Incitement to Genocide, only to share one possible interpretation of that, legally and/or morally. Judge for yourselves:

Conversation with Former Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy

Attachment: TRANSCRIPT-5.23-QI-Conference.docx.pdf
Description: Adobe PDF document

Ramaswamy:
"And I think what Israel deserves is the diplomatic latitude that they're not getting from the United States to be able to get the job done that they need to get done. It's not up to us to define their war objectives. It's up to Israel to define its own war objectives.
"And it's up to the United States as an ally to give them the diplomatic latitude to do it, which is what they're missing today. And I think for a lot of reasons, you know, Trump did not follow the standard party line of what you're supposed to say on every item of Israel. But when it came, when push came to shove, in terms of the results he delivered, from the move of the embassy to standing with Israel when it counts, I think he was actually a stronger ally of Israel than anyone else who recites the pieties has been."

Here is the relevant legal analysis of "Complicity in Incitement of Genocide," which can be a collective complicity in promoting the genocidal leaders as politicians:

Begin here:
Ultimately, this Comment concludes that individual employees at social media companies may be complicit in incitement to genocide where certain legal
requirements are satisfied. This conclusion compels a broader discussion about reforming international criminal law to stem the global propagation of disinformation, where such propagation constitutes incitement to genocide.
. . .
C. Complicity in Incitement
Incitement’s status as a crime raises the question of whether it permits
secondary liability. As scholars and commentators have acknowledged, incitement
is often considered an “inchoate crime,” a punishable step toward the commission
of another substantive offense (for example, the crime of attempted murder).129
As complicity does not generally attach to inchoate crimes, some contend a person
cannot be complicit in inciting genocide.
. . .
The Court provided that a defendant can be complicit
in direct and public incitement to commit genocide, notwithstanding its character
as an inchoate crime.132 The Appeals Chamber’s reasoning is consistent with the
view that the effective prevention of genocide requires curbing its earliest stages.
. . .
Nyiramasuhuko therefore clarifies that an aider and abettor can be complicit
in the direct and public incitement to commit genocide, notwithstanding
incitement’s status as an inchoate crime. The extension of complicity to incitement
is undoubtedly controversial, as it dramatically expands the scope of criminal
conduct associated with a speech act. But there are two points that ought to curb
this controversy to some extent.

First, genocide is the only substantive offense in all of ICL for which
incitement is also criminalized.139 Article 25 of the Rome Statute makes this
clear.140 While the knowing contributor to direct and public incitement to genocide
may be implicated in an international crime, the same cannot be said for he who
knowingly or purposefully contributes to the vast array of expressive conduct that
falls short of incitement to genocide (for example, incitement to non-genocidal
violence). This unique criminalization of complicity reflects the distinctive place
that genocide holds in ICL. It also provides the ICC prosecutor with a powerful
tool to punish those who knowingly contribute to inciting genocide, where the
inciters are coordinating as a group.

Second, the ICC prosecutor has constrained resources and thus selects cases
according to limiting principles, including the gravity of the crimes, the degree of
responsibility of the alleged perpetrators, and the potential charges.141

Accordingly, consistent with the degree of culpability, those complicit in
incitement may be less of a prosecutorial priority than those who incite genocide,
who may be less of a priority than those who commit genocide. This may not be
the case, however, with respect to social media companies, given their profound
influence over the dissemination of information today.142
