Like the Hitler admirer Tucker Carlson, lover of every US war throughout his life, now speaking as if he opposed war, while promoting the Heritage Foundation. But "antiwar libertarians," Traditional Conservatives, National Conservatives, n0-prefix-Conservatives, all mobilized to get Trump elected again, to make annexation of Palestinian territory possible. David Friedman thought he'd accomplished enough in Trump's previous administration it would seem, or perhaps they, Trump/Vance, thought it would look better to have a "Christian" green-light annexation, instead of a Jewish Settler, like Friedman, now that they're down to the Final Solution of Greater Israel, with the genocide they constantly incited, "Finish the Job," nearing completion.

I've had two people here query me on my criticism of Quincy Institute, when they on occasion run articles that I would agree with. But they're not from the side of Quincy I oppose. How many people here want to admit they're so stupid to believe that because Murdoch publications allow an occasional anti-war article such as by Jim Bovard in his Murdoch publication New York Post, that Murdoch represents an anti-war viewpoint? Good propaganda platforms requires allowing an occasional contradictory viewpoint. Like Murdoch's "Fair and Balanced Fox News. Or Charles Koch's Republican Statecraft. That's readily apparent when one realizes Koch is part of the US/IL Military Industrial Complex. Follow the Money: is Koch going to harm his money machine by genuinely opposing war?

And when it happens, everyone on the Right, and this email list, can take a bow for getting Trump/Vance in office, and/or obfuscating that Trump is the greatest Militarist this country has had as POTUS, since New Right favorite Teddy Roosevelt, and before him, Andrew Jackson, Trump's  models.

WASHINGTON – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced evangelical Christian Mike Huckabee would be the next U.S. ambassador to Israel in a precedent-shifting appointment that portends much of his administration's expected Israel policy.

Huckabee, a former Governor of Arkansas, is a proponent of Greater Israel, and has had close relations with Israeli settlers and the Yesha Council, an umbrella organization of municipal councils of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, throughout the course of his political career.

"Mike has been a great public servant, Governor, and Leader in Faith for many years. He loves Israel, and the people of Israel, and likewise, the people of Israel love him. Mike will work tirelessly to bring about Peace in the Middle East," Trump said in an announcement.

His appointment, combined with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's appointment of Yechiel Leiter as the next Israeli ambassador to the U.S., indicates that annexation could be at the forefront of any political agenda in the coming months.

Huckabee has also been among the GOP's most outspoken critics of U.S. policy on Iran, comparing the 2015 Iran nuclear deal to "marching Israelis to the door of the oven" while delivering a speech in the settlement of Shiloh endorsing Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.

Huckabee additionally said Americans should heed lessons on gun control from Israel immediately following the Parkland High School mass shooting in 2018, and cited Israeli policy on Muslims' entry into the country while defending Trump's 2016 Muslim ban.

Huckabee called on Trump to endorse West Bank annexation prior to the announcement of the Abraham Accords, while stating that the Palestinians' refusal of the Jared Kushner-authored "Deal of the Century" proved that the Palestinians have "no interest in reaching some type of conclusion."

Huckabee also criticized the 2005 Gaza disengagement, calling it "one of the biggest failures of Israeli governments' policy" and claiming Israelis were "marched at gunpoint" out of their homes in Gush Katif.

He has explicitly rejected the two-state solution throughout his "dozens of visits" to Israel, stating that his connection "is not so much political as it is visceral, personal." He previously suggested that any Palestinian state be formed outside of Israel, citing Egypt and Saudi Arabia as possible alternatives on the grounds of land controlled by the respective states.

Following the announcement, far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir posted to his X account:

The Republican Jewish Coalition enthusiastically praised Huckabee's appointment, saying it was "thrilled" over the news.

"As a man of deep faith, we know Governor Huckabee's abounding love of Israel and its people is second to none. As the Jewish state continues to fight an existential war for survival against Iran and its terrorist proxies, Governor Huckabee will represent America's ironclad commitment to Israel's security with distinction," said RJC CEO Matt Brooks and National Chairman Norm Coleman.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, a fellow supporter of annexation, said "I am thrilled by President Trump's nomination of Governor Mike Huckabee as the next Ambassador to Israel. He is a dear friend and he will have my full support. Congrats Mike on getting the best job in the world." Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the UN, also congratulated his "dear friend" on the appointment.

Americans for Peace Now President and CEO Hadar Susskind said Huckabee's previous remarks that there is "no valid reason to have a cease-fire with Hamas" should be disqualifying," adding that "his nomination is yet another alarming indication of the next Trump administration's plans for Israel and Palestine, which we will oppose every step of the way."

J Street also criticized the appointment, saying "Between Rubio and Huckabee, Trump and Netanyahu, we know the Trump Administration's approach to Israel-Palestine will trample our values and endanger Israelis and Palestinians. Biden has a narrow window of opportunity to blunt the impact before he leaves office – he must use it."
