Scores protest in Tel Aviv to condemn Israel’s genocidal war, death of children in Gaza

Scores of Israelis demonstrated outside the Defence Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv on Sunday to condemn Israel’s ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, Anadolu Agencyreports.

“Killers of children,” chanted protesters as soldiers entered the Kirya base, which houses the Defense Ministry headquarters, Israel’s Army Radio reported.

The protest came amid growing anger over Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since a Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.

Over 45,700 people have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 108,000 others injured, according to local health authorities.

The victims included at least 1,091 Palestinian babies, including 238 newborns, figures released by Gaza’s government media office showed.

In November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
