Israeli occupation forces demolished a mosque in Jenin refugee camp, north of the West Bank, yesterday, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.
Local sources said that the occupation forces knocked down the Hamza Mosque in Jenin camp as part of its large-scale demolition campaign and military operation in Jenin, which entered its eighth day.
The IOF also displaced more citizens from their homes in Jenin camp. Local sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed homes in the east of the camp and forced their residents to evacuate them as a prelude to carrying out demolitions in the area.
The Israeli army also continued to demolish infrastructure, roads and private property in different areas of the camp.
Occupation forces also demolished a Palestinian house in Khirbet Al-Deir hamlet near Teqoa town, east of Bethlehem, claiming it was built without the necessary construction license.
According to local sources, occupation forces also kidnapped a Palestinian man after ransacking his home in Silat Al-Harithiya town, west of Jenin, while another was taken from his home in the city’s Al-Bayader neighbourhood.
