[Salon] Fwd: Guantanamo to hold up to 30, 000 migrants in the US illegally

An attorney-friend from the East Coast tells me there are reported cases of U.S. citizens being caught up in these sweeps of "illegals," not guilty of any crime, not even "entering the country illegally." But as we all know, "you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs," as our favorite totalitarians liked to put it, and so apropos today with National Conservatives, whether against Palestinians, or "foreign looking people" in the U.S.

Auschwitz had to begin somewhere, which was Dachau, used at first to lock up "Woke Marxists."

Begin forwarded message:

Dear Friends,
Have any of you written in the past about the constitutionality of sending noncitizens who have constitutional rights on the mainland to Guantanamo (on the assumption that, as the government will surely argue, those rights do not apply there)?
Thanks to you all,

Trump made the announcement right before he signed the Laken Riley Act into law as his administration’s first piece of legislation.
