Everyone is talking about the First Amendment violations inherent in Trump's threats to expel and deport students and rip away aid from schools that don't crack down on 'illegal protests.' But aggressive prosecutors need only to allege that the protesters are supporters of Hamas. Sound ridiculous? Congress created this trap by passing sweeping counterterrorism laws after 9/11, and now they are being used just like many of us warned at the time.
