YAF say engaged with US aircraft carrier Truman 3 times within 24 hrs

The Yemeni Armed Forces have, for the third consecutive week, been actively confronting the continued US aggression against Yemen, spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Saree announced that the Yemeni Armed Forces had engaged in three separate clashes with US naval vessels, including aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, in the Red Sea over the past 24 hours.

The confrontations involved missile strikes, drone attacks, and naval operations targeting hostile warships. The statement emphasized that these actions were carried out using cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and other naval assets.

"The Armed Forces salute their heroic fighters across all units, divisions, and weaponry as they fulfill their religious, humanitarian, and ethical duty in defending a free and independent Yemen and in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people," the statement said.

Operations to keep escalating

The Yemeni Armed Forces expressed gratitude to Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine al-Houthi, as well as  "the heroic fighters in Gaza, the proud free people of Palestine, and all the free people of our noble nation."

Reaffirming their commitment to escalating defensive operations, the Yemeni Armed Forces pledged to "continue developing our defensive operations and responding to escalation with escalation. We will not retreat from supporting the oppressed Palestinian people until the aggression against Gaza is halted and the siege is lifted."

Previously, Sayyed al-Houthi reaffirmed Yemen's stance against "Israel" and support of Palestine, emphasizing that the US will not subdue the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Aggression not to serve as deterrence

The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, said Saturday that the US aggression against Yemen was in support of the Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, stressing that they are a failure and have resulted only in the killing of children and women and the targeting of civilian infrastructure.

In a speech marking Eid al-Fitr, al-Mashat expressed sorrow that Yemenis were celebrating the holiday while their brothers in Gaza were being massacred. However, he took solace in the fact that the Yemeni people had not abandoned Gaza.

He praised Yemen’s stance, highlighting military operations and the blockade of Israeli-linked shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. He also pointed to the massive demonstrations on International al-Quds Day as proof of Yemen's unwavering support for Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and occupied al-Quds.

Al-Mashat stated that the Yemeni Armed Forces remain actively engaged in strategic confrontations against aggressors, including aircraft carriers and warships. He noted that they had successfully thwarted several enemy attacks and would continue to resist until victory was achieved.

He emphasized that US aggression would not deter Yemen from fulfilling its duty toward Palestine and its own people. Instead, he asserted that it would only strengthen Yemen’s military capabilities and challenge American dominance.

US airstrikes escalate in Yemen as 71 raids hit in 24 hours

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported Friday that US warplanes launched more than 26 airstrikes targeting multiple areas in Yemen, including the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Saada and al-Jawf.

In Sanaa, the strikes focused on the southern region of the city. Eight raids specifically hit the al-Sawad area in the Sanhan district, located south of the capital.

In Saada province, northern Yemen, US forces carried out 10 additional strikes, including two on the Sahar district.

One civilian was killed and three others injured when a farm east of Saada City was bombed.

This marks a clear escalation in US military activity. Within 24 hours, a total of 71 airstrikes were recorded across Sanaa and the provinces of Amran, Saada, al-Jawf, Marib, and Hodeidah
