Those celebrating the Ukrainian strikes do not really understand how serious the situation now is. First, it was an attack against Russia's nuclear forces, which enables (demands) retaliation with nuclear weapons according to Russia's nuclear weapons doctrine. Secondly, bombers were parked outside because of START. The treaty demands this so that bombers can be counted with satellites. Third, if it's true that @POTUS was not informed, like I also suspect, Ukraine broke the protocol in a very serious manner. Also acknowledge that if the U.S. were to become a target of such a strike, missiles would already be flying. Regardless of how long Russia's response may take, we have entered a much more dangerous world. Ukraine has become a rogue state threatening the world.
