Iran has launched a fresh wave of missiles targeting Tel Aviv and vast areas across northern "Israel" amid a state of high alert in occupied territories, Israeli media reported during he early hours of Saturday.
The Israeli occupation then acknowledged the deaths of two settlers and injuries of 40 others in the bombardment of Rishon LeZion in central "Israel", as reports relay concerns for casualties stuck beneath the rubble. Israeli media additionally reported that around 10 firefighting and rescue teams are operating in the area.
Rishon LeZion holds significant military importance due to its proximity to strategic military infrastructure, such as the Kirya military headquarters, making it a key logistical and command hub during wars. It lies near major defense industry hubs like Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael, with many residents contributing to military R&D and production. The settlement's role in military recruitment, especially in tech and intelligence units, further ties it to the Israeli military's ecosystem.
Israeli media further emphasized that the destruction in the central district has been unprecedented, with larger devastation inflicted in Iran's latest retaliation.
The casualties have risen to three killed and tens injured, some of whom are in critical condition, as per Israeli army reports.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported the continuous activation of sirens across various regions, from the south to the northern borders, including al-Quds, Tel Aviv, al-Naqab, Eilat, al-Afoula, Upper al-Nasira, Tabaraya, and even the occupied Golan.
Settlers in southern “Israel” reported hearing very loud explosions, while intense blasts were also recorded in several northern areas, including Haifa.
This coincided with the launch of an Iranian missile salvo toward “Israel”, resulting in direct hits, while Iranian air defenses simultaneously intercepted incoming Israeli attacks.
Channel 14 consequently reported that an Iranian missile struck a strategic site south of Tel Aviv.
As the war intensifies, Israeli media reported that Iran possesses a massive missile arsenal, with the number of rockets ranging between 20,000 and up to 90,000, sparking concerns and fear of additional operations and launches toward occupied territories.
In this context, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran reported that the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced the seizure of trucks loaded with drones that were allegedly intended for use in attacks inside Iranian territory.
This comes after Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of Operation True Promise 3 against the occupation, in response to the Israeli aggression on Iran, which led to the martyrdom of several senior armed forces commanders, prominent nuclear scientists, and civilians.
