Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem, said on Monday that the Israeli occupation has not adhered to the agreed maps and has deliberately expanded the yellow line, particularly in the northern Gaza Strip.
Qassem explained that Hamas had informed mediators of its need to bring in heavy machinery to recover the remaining bodies of Israeli captives trapped in combat zones.
He noted that Israel had withdrawn from previous understandings related to Hamas fighters in Rafah following the handover of the body of Israeli officer Hadar Goldin.
Qassem stressed that these developments show Israel’s ongoing violations of agreed arrangements, which further complicate humanitarian and field mediation efforts.
Since 7 October 2023, the occupying state, backed by the United States and Europe, has carried out a campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip involving killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and detention, while ignoring international appeals and rulings from the International Court of Justice to halt such actions.
