Iran said that about 43,000 non-military locations, including 120 schools, were struck during the U.S. and Israeli attacks over the past two weeks.
Iran announced that Azadi Tower is one of 43,000 non-military sites that were bombed, according to the Financial Times.
Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told reporters that Azadi Tower, one of Tehran’s most prominent modern landmarks built before the Islamic Revolution in 1979, was damaged.
She added that the attacks resulted in the deaths of 206 students, while about 36,500 residential homes and more than 6,000 commercial units were damaged.
