By now you've probably heard that Netanyahu and friends don't really want US aid anymore, that they are ready to be independent. Don't buy it. What they mean is, they know from all polling available, that the American people are finished with them and are chafing against the annual $4 billion MOU. That MOU is up for renewal soon. So, they have found another way to get that military aid — and more — while keeping it out of public scrutiny.
