@realDonaldTrump
Barack Hussein Obama’s Deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now. My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON! In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement. The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL. Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous Administrations have had. Unlike Obama’s Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in payments to them, including 1.7 Billion Dollars in green, cold cash, no money will exchange hands. At the appropriate time, when all is calm, we will go in and get the Nuclear Dust, buried deep under the powerful sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 Bombers and their brilliant pilots, and downblend and destroy it, whether in Iran, or the United States. We look forward to working with Iran, and the entire Middle East, long into the future. Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly. If it doesn’t, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again! Thank you for your attention to this matter!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP {Emphasis (as if needed) added}

They astound only if you credit the president's and the mainstream media's delusional depiction of the US as the victor in this foolish war. We are witnessing the 'art of the capitulation' in awkward process. It turns out that the defeated cannot impose terms. What a surprise! Best not to pick fights you can't win!The result of this war is Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz, the almost certain eviction of the U.S. from the bases the Golf Arabs have loaned us, a barely disguised rupture with Israel, the Iranian adoption of a tit-for-tat disproportionate retaliation standard to match that of Israel, the probable tipping of the global economy into recession or worse, impending food shortages, the creation of a greatly expanded market for Chinese renewable energy technology and products, the depletion of the weaponry needed for other contingencies or contracted by allies and partners, a convincing demonstration of the limits of U.S. military power and the 'might makes right' notion, and proof of the crippling of US government competence that DOGE and the selection of personnel for their political subservience and sycophancy rather than their experience and expertise have imposed in Washington. Oh, yes, killing all the Iranian leaders opposed to building a nuclear weapon may have unfortunate consequences too. And the value of the U.S. word has been permanently devalued by yoyo public diplomacy accompanied by no real diplomacy.The results are indeed amazing! The U.S. and Israel will have to live with a rearrangement of regional geopolitics that is decidedly to Iran's advantage.Chas--On Sun, Jun 14, 2026 at 9:44 AM <horne.jp@verizon.net> wrote:14jun26 – Alexandria, VA
TACO. Yet again ! The concessions to Iran are astounding. Especially when you consider the damage His war on Iran has inflicted on the U.S. and global economy, notably inflation.

DUBAI, June 14 (Reuters) - A senior Iranian official told Reuters a final draft of the memorandum of understanding with the U.S. covered a range of issues, from Tehran’s nuclear work to reopening the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. waivers on oil sanctions, with a final deal to be discussed in the 60 days following agreement by the two sides.
