President Donald Trump is being slammed online over a bizarre AI photo of himself as a general, standing alongside Generals Ulysses S. Grant and S. Patton, calling it "stolen valor."
On X, MediasTouch reposted the photo, originally uploaded by Trump, who has been accused by his own staff of 'letting his appearance go' on purpose after a sloppy discovery, on Truth Social, with the caption, "Stolen valor from Mr. Bone Spurs. An insult to every man and woman who has worn the uniform."
Trump earned the nickname "Mr. Bone Spurs" from critics who have called him out for draft dogging as the now-president received a medical 1-Y draft deferment during the Vietnam War after a diagnosis of "bone spurs in his heels" in 1968. It's been a point of contention since. It comes after Karoline Leavitt accidentally humiliated Trump as critics asked about his 'diaper'.
Many on X responded to the photo with anger and sarcasm, with one poster redoing the AI-generated image to feature a red hat on Trump's head and the words, "draft dodger." Another reader chimed in, writing, "Patton commanded armies. MacArthur commanded Allied forces across the Pacific. Trump commanded five draft deferments and a golf cart."
A third responded with anger, asking, "Why does he keep doing this - he only suffers from comparison as he was never IN the military nor has any member of his family fought anything harder than an indictment."
