Hi all, I wrote a piece today for The American Conservative on Hegseth's campaign (including curriculum reviews and taking away tenure) to make the military colleges and academies more focused on the warfighting ethos. I talked to longtime critics of the war colleges who say the problem is not just the lack of warcraft and strategy, it's that these colleges are no longer graduating exceptional leaders who could actually win wars. Instead they pump out yes men who lose wars and are politically savvy enough to avoid accountability.
