(Dobbs) Just a Week in the Life Of......Donald Trump is not just a horrible man, he is a horrible president.
You can pin this spreading warfare on Donald Trump: He started a war without tying to figure out how wide it could spread. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq and others, they’ve all taken hits from Iran. Americans are among the dead and injured and American planes and bases are among the targets destroyed. His sophisticated assessment of the Houthis’ attacks on the Saudis? That they are “misbehaving very badly.” ____________________________________________________________________________ You can lay this potential epidemic on him too: Thanks to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the president’s man in charge of keeping us healthy, the president’s man who has preached that vaccines are bad, the U.S. is now seeing the worst outbreaks of measles in a third of a century. ____________________________________________________________________________ This thug-like violence is Trump’s fault: There have been ⅔ of a million people deported so far, and sometimes the arrests turn violent and people get shot. Last Thursday in New York City, ICE agents shot a man in his car as his son watched from the back seat. The agents claimed the man “weaponized his vehicle” but video footage contradicts that. ____________________________________________________________________________ This debasement of American dignity is Trump’s fault too: If the December execution by firing squad of the Army psychiatrist who murdered 13 fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood is live-streamed as Defense Secretary Hegseth says it will be, the United States will join the esteemed company of Afghanistan and Iran, the only two nations that last year had public executions. Along with North Korea and Somalia, that’s quite some company we’ll be keeping. ____________________________________________________________________________ This triumph for Putin also is on Trump: Trump has agreed to spend billions of dollars to buy millions of barrels of diesel fuel from Russia, which will help it fund its war against Ukraine and keep slaughtering innocent Ukrainians. Meanwhile the president demands that Ukraine, the victim, stop targeting Russian refineries. His gift to the enemy will at least temporarily relieve the economic troubles of Vladimir Putin, who has a war crimes arrest warrant on his head from the International Criminal Court…. although to Trump that’s probably a badge of honor. ____________________________________________________________________________ This rise in everyone’s cost of living is thanks to Donald Trump: He blames the war in Ukraine. Anyone with a room temperature IQ knows to blame his own war with Iran. ____________________________________________________________________________ Even this authoritarian redecoration of the nation’s capital is his doing: A federal judge said he had to stop taking trees down at the historic public course called the East Potomac Golf Links, which sits on federal land and which he wants to transform into some sort of golf course for the elite. She was ignored. About 430 trees were cut down this weekend and almost 300 more are still on the chopping block.
